Debunking the claims of Ajit Vadakayil about Sikhism – Part IV

(War Cry of Sikhs, D. Petrie’s report)

It’s been some time when I wrote the last part of this series in answer to the gibberish article of Ajit Vadakayil about Sikhs. I wrote other articles after the third of this series because it’s important to address the current issues which are there, related to the misinterpretation of gurbani or gur-itehaas. I was checking my blog and found I had totally forgotten Mr. AV and I turned my mind here again to debunk his other claims and bring shame to him and his followers who read without thinking to tell them how wrong they are and their interpretation of other religions.

I have covered some part of the World War I and World War II and the role of the Sikhs earlier. I will add more in the upcoming articles, perhaps, because it’s very important to know how and why it happened, especially the 1857 revolt by the people and why the Sikhs were not part of that. The link was provided at the last of the article to the website which’s a small book written by Dr. Ganda Singh on the topic.

Let’s start talking about the article of AV that why his post on Sikhs is nothing but shit.

15. The war cry of the Sikh regiment was chosen by Rothschild the  from Sikh scriptures. The weirdest shit that can’t be expected that it can even exist on this Earth will always come from AVB (Ajit Vadakayil’s Blog – if you haven’t read the previous posts.) The very reason behind that is the non-existing evidence to prove something. I am not saying you can believe in every evidence, a piece of evidence can be wrong too. But if you are just using your brain and talking about the past, you are just an idiot (unless you are a spiritual person who can see the past or future, which AV certainly is not.)

Now why I would make such a statement is because the past can be bent in any way to claim what you believe in if you don’t have evidence. Think of an incident happened three thousand years ago, you will never know about the incident if you don’t read history, which can or cannot be true, but to some extent the truth can be found if read from both the sides, which AVB never talks about but says how his is the right one and making more sense than what’s been written earlier, you can always think in your own way.

W.H McLeod did the same thing. He tried to see the Sikh History with the glasses that he’s already wearing on, that’s why he was wrong. Dr. Tirlochan Singh wrote books and articles to correct the mistakes because it’s creating confusion among the readers who were getting influence by McLeod’s writing and wanted to know more about Sikhs. These days we have thousands of websites which are misleading, including AVB, and the truth will always be hidden away from you. The most important question that arises when a person is reading history is how the information was collected to come to a conclusion. If we talk about the Sikh History, there were so many Gursikhs at the time of the Guru Sahib who wrote history, and their books were the source of history written by many Sikh scholars. Sometimes the stories which were popular were also written, which can be wrong if not according to gurbani.

Let’s remember that Gurbani is the ultimate truth for the Sikhs. Gurbani can never be wrong. But the non-Sikhs can always say the exact opposite. Fine. But for the Sikhs, if something is against the Gurbani, we don’t believe that. Simple. Now in these times that we are living in, many of the ‘Sikhs’ and non-Sikhs started raising questions on Gurbani that how it’s wrong or some verses were changed later and all. Latest video of a fake saint was circling on the social media, claiming Guru Arjan Dev ji changed the bani of the bhagats; and he even said a prize should have been given to him because he’s the one who found out about it. A Singh made a video and said we will give you a prize, just give us the address. 😊

AV is also like those insane people because he’s already made his mind and he will always say this or that is wrong if it’s not according to his thoughts. And he will go too far to prove his points, from false stories to patriotism.

Before starting the War Cry of Sikhs, let’s talk about the Rothschild Family again, not in detail though. Mayer Rothschild was the one from whom the Rothschild Family was descended from. Born in 1740s and died around 1810s. It can’t be that if he was born in, say, 1742, he would start disseminating how he was going to conquer the world with the banking sector. It would definitely take time to achieve such a thing. They were accused of investing in the wars and providing the guns/weapons to both the parties and get the profit out of war. From the Napoleonic Wars to the World Wars, they were said to be part of them. They have this idea too that if a woman is Jew, then her sons/daughters are Jews by birth – weird logic, I know. Like many Hindus say, all are Hindus. 😐

If the first person born in 1740s, how could he have given the War Cry of Sikhs which were used in the battles against the Hindu Hill Chieftains (Hindus mention that there was no battle among Sikhs and Hindus. Go read a history book, idiot, because you have been brainwashed.) and the Mughals? There were books written at the time of Guru Sahib too before ‘your first Rothschild’ was born. In there, it’s clearly mentioned how the Singhs roared in the battles against the enemies and what their War Cry was.

I know if I talk about the Sanatam Dharma that how the Rothschild Family induced the verses in the religion, many of you will not believe and say it’s already there before that as the Santam Dharma is from the ‘beginning.’ That’s what I was talking about the Sikh History, the things which were written before the arrival of the British in India. Scriptures are always needed to prove a point. In the post that AVB talks about, he mentioned some of the verses in the Vedas were changed by the British – don’t know the claim but he mentioned this – how can it be decided which verses were changed and which were not? You do not have the base to confer the veracity of the original verses. You, who are Hindus, might believe in a god that you like, but can you prove that the god you believe in was not actually a man but god? No, you can’t.

You need the scriptures to prove that thing, which were changed by the British according to AVB.

So, this is a baseless point to say the War Cry of Sikhs were given by the Rothschild. I don’t know why this person doesn’t think before writing. Or so much money is given to him to write this shit, no?

16.  D. Petrie’s reportThis is a very important part of this article and the whole career of AV’s writing. This is a concrete piece of evidence to show the foolishness of AV and how he gets the information.

First of all, as I hate to say this, but say it anyway, I want to thank AV for writing this article, because had he not written this, I wouldn’t have gotten the idea of the reports which were written in the early 1900s and the annexation of Punjab with the help of the people outside of Punjab (mainly Hindus, no offence.) Same was true for the bani of Guru Gobind Singh ji. If the so-called ‘Sikhs’ hadn’t talked about Dasam Guru Granth Sahib, I wouldn’t have gotten an idea of its existence and gotten the chance to read Gurbani written by Guru Gobind Singh ji. So I thank all the gur-nindaks because of whom I started making videos and writing articles in response to the false claims that they had made about Sikhism and the Sikh History.

Starting with the name, it’s Petrie, not ‘Patfie’ as mentioned by AV. No man with that name existed who wrote a report about Sikhism. It’s worth mentioning that AVB wrote ‘A secret C I.D. Memorandum for “divide and rule”’ to tell how the Sikh identity was preserved. Trust me, people, your beloved AV hasn’t even read this report otherwise he would have written more about it, not just one line. I remember Singhs talking about how the fake ‘Sikhs’ talk about stories to reject the bani of Guru Gobind Singh ji; they do not read anything but talk what’s been taught to them or read from the highlighted passages of some books or articles written by their masters. Same is true with AV.

It’s no ‘secret’ file to ‘divide and rule’. He wouldn’t have written that had he read it thoroughly. I will provide the link to read the report available on the Internet at the end of this point. Let me finish it first why and what was written in the report.

This report was to talk about the Sikh politics and how it evolved in the beginning of 1900s. It’s the time when the Singh Sabha and the Chief Khalsa Diwaan came into existence to preserve what was taught by Guru Sahib. Many Sikhs had started doing the ill practices that the Sikh Gurus shunned in their writings. It’s also the time when so many morchas were held to take back the control of the gurdwaras. I urge all the Sikhs to read the history of that period because it’s a big change in the first half of the 20th century for the Sikhs. History was getting written, so many Sikh scholars jumped on the stage to deliver the speeches and tell how the Sikh identity should be preserved and was/is completely different than the Hindus.

Me saying it so many times that Sikhs are not Hindus might offend some of the Hindus reading this. Let me tell you, guys, I respect all the religions but your religion is not mine or Gurus’ and mine is not yours. There are some elements in both the religions which are same, but that doesn’t make them same or equal. I try every time, while writing articles or making videos, that I don’t offend any religious person.

This report talks about the revolt of the Sikhs against the British that how they could be a problem for the British in India. Many Sikhs were also getting influenced because of the Christian beliefs and changing the religion for posts, rule, money, education, or what not. Sikhs also said the education should be in Punjabi, not English as it’s taking the Sikh youth away from Sikhi. Same is true in India these days as the governments are trying to impose Hindi on the non-Hindi speaking states in India. The problems will always be same, only the tools and the people in power will be changed.

Petrie wrote in his report:

The Sikh, though, of a Sikh father, is not counted a Sikh until he has received the baptism of the pahul.[1]

This is what I mentioned in so many articles and videos that if you are not following the rules of the religion, you do not belong to that religion. See an ‘Englishman’ understood better than you people. Those claiming Guru Nanak Dev ji was a Hindu because born in a Hindu family are a laughable stock for the intellectuals who are into religious matters for a while now.

Hinduism has always been hostile to Sikhism whose Gurus powerfully and successfully attacked the principle of caste which is the foundation of which the whole fabric of the Brahminical religion has been reared.[2]

Let me tell you the dumbhead AV will talk about how Guru Nanak Dev ji worshipped idols and all, so here is the point that shows the fallacy in the argument of his. Sikhs are not idolaters. The same was observed by this Englishman. I know some of you who are completely brainwashed will come and say it’s ‘induced’ by the British to tell that they were not Hindus. Read on then.

The movement to declare the Sikhs, Hindus, though widespread and of long duration, is, according to Mecauliffe, “in direct opposition to the teaching of the Gurus.”[3]

AV also talked about Mecauliffe because he said Sikhs were different from Hindus, many of the dumb people at that time were talking that Sikhs were Hindus, same thing which is happening in today’s India, can be either by the politicians or the bloggers. But the truth is subjugation will never make us, the Sikhs, believe that Sikhs are Hindus. You can promulgate it through your websites, but it will never work.

The soldierly qualities of the Sikhs have been fittingly recognised in the extent to which they have been employed in the Indian Army, in which at present they number roughly 33 thousand out of 174 thousand or somewhat less than one-fifth of the total strength.[4]

AV talks by beating his chest and braying that how the Sikhs were used by the British in the World War or in general. Here, the Englishman said that it’s one-fifth of the total strength. Then who was the four-by-fifth? Getting some shame now to tell that?

The thing is people of the country was used by all the rulers to fight against the enemies. At that time, British was ruling the country so they chose the people to fight for them. And AV is such a hypocrite that he will never say the word ‘Hindu’ whenever he will talk about the World War or any battle which were fought by the British alongside with the Hindus. He will always say how Gandhi did this or that (not a fan of Gandhi at all, BTW) but never how the Hindus were also there in the army in the World War. He will talk about the Mughals, Sikhs, and Marathas (which are Hindus and have a great history) but never utter the word ‘Hindu’ to tell that they were enslaved and used by the rulers of all the times. Here is one example, ‘Rothschild stopped trusting his favourite soldiers from the South of India.  The backbone of the British Indian Army, which were previously recruited from South Indian regions.’ Did you see the name ‘Hindu’ written anywhere? Don’t know his claims but just to show why he is one of the biggest hypocrites ever produced by a pair of humans.

Now why the Sikh identity was preserved by the British to use some of them in the army is also mentioned in the report that we are talking about. But this dilettante doesn’t have the balls to write this.

The fundamental principle of Sikh religion, the monotheism, the absence of superstition and restraint in the matter of food, are the factors which have made the Sikhs among the bravest soldiers. In describing the pernicious effects of the upbringing of Sikh youths in a Hindu atmosphere, Macauliffe writes: “such youths are ignorant of the Sikh religion and contract exclusive social customers and prejudices. It will thus be seen that the policy pursued in the Indian Army has been directed, and rightly directed, to the maintenance of the Sikh faith in its pristine purity, for the reason that any falling off from orthodoxy detracts from the fighting value of the Sikhs soldiers.”[5]

Now the point where AVB ruled out the thoughts of the Englishmen about Sikhs and mentioned ‘they’ are loyal to their ‘masters.’ This is Petrie’s thoughts about that:

Nevertheless a perusal of past records proves conclusively that the Sikhs have all along had among their ranks a leavening of disaffected and even actively disloyal persons.[6]

Here he talked about the Kuke who fought against British.

It is essential to realise that an anti-British spirit is abroad in certain quarters and is a factor which must be taken into account in deciding from what standpoint certain present-day Sikh movements should be viewed.[7]

The report also talks about Tat Khalsa and Bandai Khalsa (Sikhs). According to the limited knowledge of AV, he claimed Tat Khalsa was bad and changed many things in the Sikh History. The problem with that argument is it’s like saying you are not a Hindu because you are wearing a janeu. Tat Khalsa stood with the principles of the writings and the Code of Conduct of Guru Sahib; on the other hand, Bandai Sikhs took a separate road. Will talk much maybe in another article.

The thoughts that AV has were already mentioned by Petrie in his report:

In later times the term Tat Khalsa has been applied by Hindus to what they are pleased to call the “separatist” party among the Sikhs, and every orthodox Sikh, if questioned, would claim with pride that he belongs to the Tat or true Khalsa.[8]

What Petrie mentioned about Tat Khalsa and its motive is also worth mentioning here:

Again the Tat Khalsa must be judged largely by the direction taken by the activities of its leaders, and the general nature of these activities has been far from reassuring. If the whole of the adherents of the Tat Khalsa are not political minded, there are assuredly many members of it who imbued with nationalistic ideals. These enthusiasts aim not merely at forming a homogenous Sikh community which will be able to defend itself against other rival bodies but preach the revival of a Sikh Nation which will wrest the sceptre from the hands of the British and again establish its rule in the Punjab.[9]

Just because Tat Khalsa wanted to keep the tradition and the values of the Sikh Gurus as they taught, they are bad, huh? AV really needs to stop following the conspiracy websites and do something meaningful with his life. All the articles that he’s written are already available on the Internet with the same information that he’s providing to the readers. And the ones who are saying he is the only one who knows all this are all wrong. I can give you one example. He mentioned several times in his article that Justin Trudeau’s father was Fidel Castro and provided the link of the story too where he might have read it. So it’s how the history is written then!? Cool. I don’t know who his father was, nor I care. I know how the propaganda works and these bloggers are just the tools of someone.

So many lectures were delivered at the time and Petrie mentioned:

Sikh national and religious traditions are cunningly prostituted to inflame the martial instincts of the Sikhs and to encourage the idea that if the Sikhs were to combine they should successfully revolt. The history of the Sikhs religion is the history of the Sikh nation.[10]

During that time, many leaflets were given to the listeners present there in the lectures, one of them reads:

We should try to make a brave and victorious nation out of the dead and thus save the country from being carried away by the flood which has now invaded it. The country has suffered many vicissitudes which the pen finds it difficult to enumerate. The Sikhs have been watching many anxious nights so that this burden may be lifted up from the country. What Guru Govind Singh’s sword did with Aurangzeb you should also do to-day, Say, why are you frightened? You have neither house nor power nor strength. Even your religion is paying impost. A thick and dark cloud of tyranny has spread over the country.[11]

It’s said in one of the lectures delivered by Tat Khalsa. They are still bad?

I want to talk about this thing which has been there in my head for weeks. Read the above passage again and think of the people who will be cheering about how the Sikhs were ready to do anything to fight against tyranny, the British. Now take the same people in consideration and read the above passage again and think it’s 1980s Punjab. Views change now? Because you have not understood one thing: if something is wrong, something is wrong, just because you are not ruled by the British doesn’t mean the governments are allowed to kill innocents.

There are long passages about the Khalsa College, how it’s built, why it’s built and the involvement of the government, an incident of the Sikh youth talking rudely to an Englishman came to the college, etc.

It seems, in fact, to admit of no doubt that in the College young students are systematically tampered with and seduced from their loyalty to government.[12]

But there need be no hesitation in predicting that those Sikhs who affect the new faith (means Arya Samaj) will inevitably tend to degenerate physically, and to become less and less reliable an asset as regards their loyalty to the Crown.[13]

The British Government, more particularly the Military administration, has put into a queer position as regards the Sikhs, who have been fostered and patted and taught to regard themselves as a great nation with great national traditions. This glorification of the Sikhs has been production of curious results, because, while it has kept the banner of Sikhism flying to the great advantage of Government, it now appears to be likely to be used as an instrument to scourge us by a section of those whose good it was primarily undertaken.[14]

This was again for Tat Khalsa.

This was the ‘actual’ report of Petrie, which is a 64-pages document. Just see the cleverness of AV who mentioned this report and disregarded all the aspects of it. Why? Because to put a thought in your head to show how the Sikhs were used against ‘India’ by the British. I literally laughed when he used the words ‘secret’ and ‘divide and rule.’ I wonder how many fools would have believed in that.

Anyway, that is being done. I want to mention one point here which was written in Petrie’s report i.e. Sikhs started using the caste too, like you have lower cast and all, like Hindus do, I don’t know if it’s the truth or not, but we really should stick to the Code of Conduct. All are equal in the Khalsa Panth. When Guru Sahib said so, we are no one to say otherwise.

    1. I had no intention of hurting the sentiments of any community. Nowhere I mentioned the Hindus are bad and Sikhs shouldn't have a friendly relation with them. Nowhere I mentioned you shouldn't go to a Gurudwara or don't do Ardaas or don't believe in Sikh Gurus. You anticipated the whole article in a wrong way.

The whole purpose of this article was to debunk the claims of Ajit Vadakayil. And if your feelings get hurt just because we believe in a different and distinct Sikh Identity, I can't do anything. Maybe you need to change your perception. BTW, you should check this series if you want to read more about the Sikh Identity: - https://sikhsandsikhi.blogspot.com/2018/10/cliched-arguments-part-i.html
