Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh! Bhai sahib I have heard that bani of Sheikh farid ji is not of Fariduddin Ganjshakar but of Sheikh braham(Ibrahim) which is the other farid. Do you know of which Farid it is?
ReplyDeleteI heard it some years back, probably in a video, they were saying there is one word that would have been given by Guru Nanak Dev ji when he met Sheikh Ibrahim that's why this Farid is the contemporary of the Guru. Don't remember what that word was, but, yeah, the bani is of Fariduddin Shakarganj who's born before Guru Nanak Dev ji and wasn't contemporary of the Guru.
DeleteIt should be noted that in Gur Nanak Parkash, Sheikh Farid's saloks are used by Seikh Ibrahim/Brahm which he would have gotten down the line as he's the successor of the gaddi.
Yeah what confused me was m:3 and m:5
